Thames Street

The storefronts along Thames Street (pronounced with the full “th” sound) are one of the most recognizable images from Fells Point in Baltimore, Maryland. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, these brick buildings have housed shipbuilders, sailors, retail establishments, and many, many bars and restaurants. Visitors to this busy area rarely see the street as quiet as it is captured here, painted early in the day before everyone else has arrived.
